Is That It?! When Success Stops Feeling Successful.

If you’ve reached the point where the life or career you worked hard to build no longer feels quite enough, this interactive session will help you identify what you want more of, what you’re ready to leave behind, and what you might give yourself permission to explore next.

  • Recognise why reaching midlife, career success or a long-worked-for milestone can sometimes leave you thinking, “Is that it?”

  • Get clearer about what you want more of in the next stage of your life and what you are ready to flick the Vs to.

  • Challenge some of the expectations, roles and definitions of success you may have accumulated along the way.

  • Give yourself permission to explore possibilities without needing to have a perfectly formed plan for what comes next.

  • Discover PickAVee and the VeeVolution – a new community and movement being created for midlife women who know they aren’t finished yet.

  • Leave with something practical to think about or explore next, rather than another list of things you “should” be doing.

Prep required:

No preparation is needed – just bring something to write with and come prepared to think about yourself for a change!

This session is perfect for:

Women who have reached a point in life where they find themselves wondering whether there should be something more.

You may have reached the top of a career and feel thoroughly uninspired by the prospect of staying there for another 10 or 20 years. You might be returning to work after time away, considering a completely different direction, rebuilding confidence after change or rejection, or simply realising that roles and expectations which once fitted you no longer do.

Equally, nothing has to be “wrong”. You may have a life you’re perfectly grateful for and still be curious about what else you could experience, create, learn, contribute or become.

You don’t need to know what you want next – curiosity is quite enough to start with.

Meet your session leader: Ginette Tessier (Founder of PickAVee)

Ginette Tessier spent 20 years in corporate life before reaching the slightly inconvenient conclusion that, having worked her way into a senior leadership position, she didn’t actually want any of the obvious next steps.

Despite never having imagined herself as self-employed – and seriously questioning whether she would have the discipline to make it work – she left corporate life and has since built businesses, created digital learning and online communities, written a book and helped individuals and organisations turn ideas into something real.

Her own experience of asking “Is that it?”, combined with years of conversations with other women navigating work, confidence, age, identity and change, has now led her to create PickAVee: a community and growing movement for midlife women who know they aren’t finished, even if they don’t yet know what comes next.

Ginette describes herself as the VeeVolution Instigator – which will make considerably more sense by the end of the session!
